Policies

We accept most major credit and debit cards including American Express, Visa, Discover, Mastercard. All credit/debit cards need to be issued by a major financial institution that offers physical banking locations. The means of payment, which must be valid and presented at the start of the rental, must be issued under the renter’s name. A security deposit of 500 USD plus the estimated total of the rental will be held on the card at the time of pickup.

All prepaid reservations must be presented with the booking credit card to use for the security deposit and any additional charges, and it must be in the renters own name.

Use of a debit card will require verification of full coverage insurance. If customer does not have proof of insurance, coverage may be purchased at the counter.

We do not accept Cash, Prepaid cards, MCU cards, Checks, Money Orders, Electronic Use only cards, Visa Electron cards, credit/debit cards from domestic online banking institutions.

No refunds are made for early returns.

Renters must have a valid drivers license, major credit card in their name, and proof of full coverage insurance. If the customer does not have proof of insurance (Declarations Page), coverage must be purchased at the counter.

Cracked, broken or damaged driver’s licenses are not accepted. Learner’s permits and probationary licenses are not accepted.

A credit check will be performed for all debit card customers and all local renters, regardless of payment type, to determine their eligibility to rent. Customers must meet the minimum score criteria to qualify for the rental. Customers who fail to meet the minimum criteria will be refused a rental.

International renters must also present a passport and a valid drivers license from their country of residence. If the license is in non-Latin alphabet an international driving license will be required. International customers are required to show a round trip ticket and the deposit is $500.00 regardless if credit card or debit card is used.

Vehicles are rented full to full. Vehicles must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at the start of rental to avoid refueling charges.

Any changes to the reservation or rental may result in a change of rate or additional fees. Makes/models are examples only and are not guaranteed.

Customers may use their own toll transponders or pay cash where cash payments are still available. There is a 9.95 USD per day toll usage fee, which is charged only for the days the customers go through toll lanes, plus the cost of the tolls. Vehicles may be driven in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, West Virginia, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.

Vehicles are never permitted to travel into Mexico.

Local renters are renters without a roundtrip ticket or have residence within 150 miles of the office.

Local renters must have proof of full coverage insurance.

If customer does not have proof of insurance, coverage may be purchased at the counter.

A security deposit of 350 USD plus the estimated total of the rental will be held on the card at the time of pickup if using a credit card. If a debit card is used, the deposit will be 500 USD.

Debit cards are not accepted for local renters at airport locations without proof of comprehensive insurance.

Minimum rental age is 18, maximum age is 80.

Additional drivers must meet all qualifications as the primary driver in regards to age, passport and license requirements.

Additional Drive fee is 5 USD/day. Spouses are not included for free.

Minimum age to rent is 18. Age 18 to 24 must have their own full coverage auto insurance or have a major credit card, which will provide CDW for them.

Underage Driver fee for 18-20 is 79.99 USD/day and 25 USD/day for age 21-24. Underage drivers may only rent compact thru mid size cars. Maximum age to rent is 80.

Cancellation and no-show policy

What is your cancellation policy for fully prepaid or part-paid bookings?

1 - If you cancel 48 hours prior to your pick-up, you will be refunded in full.

2 - If you cancel less than 48 hours in advance of pick-up, you will receive a refund minus USD130. If your online payment is less than USD130, no refund will be made for your car rental booking.

3 - If your booking is made less than 48 hours before pick up, the cancellation policy will automatically apply to your booking.

4 - All cancellations should be made online via the Manage Booking page prior to the scheduled pick-up time and not with the car rental provider.

5 - You can make any changes to your booking up to 48 hours before pick-up, with no additional charge, however, live pricing will apply. If you amend your booking less than 48 hours in advance of pick-up, the amount you currently paid will be carried over to your new booking minus a late amendment fee of USD70.00. If you have paid less than USD70.00, no amount will be carried over to your new booking.

6 - If you cancel your booking less than 48 hours before pick-up you will be charged a cancellation fee of USD130. If you have paid less than USD130, you will not be charged more than you currently paid.

If you purchased our Damage Refund Insurance product and have since decided to cancel your car rental booking, the Damage Refund Insurance will be cancelled automatically.

If you wish to amend or rearrange your booking, the Damage Refund Insurance will initially be cancelled. We will, however, automatically create a new policy for your new booking.

In both cases you will receive an email to confirm the cancellation at the email address you have provided during the online booking process.

Please be aware that if you cancel your insurance policy less than 24 hours before the start of your car rental agreement, no refund for insurance will be granted.

What is a no-show?

A ''no-show'' occurs for the following reasons:

1 - You didn't inform us about your cancellation prior to your pick-up time.

2 - You failed to pick up the car at the agreed time and date selected without notifying our customer service team of any delay before the pick-up time.

3 - Your flight is delayed which results in a late arrival at the rental desk and your flight number was not provided.

4 - You failed to provide the documentation that's required to pick up the car.

5 - You failed to provide a credit card in the main driver's name with enough available funds on it.

In the event of any of the above, no refunds will be made to you.

The car hire company reserves the right to refuse a car if you fail to arrive on time with all necessary documentation and a credit card with enough available funds for the car's security deposit. In the event of late arrival to the rental desk, and you failed to make contact with our customer service team before the pick-up time or your incoming flight details were not added to your booking, we cannot guarantee that the car will be available. In such a case, unless the car hire has been canceled at least 48 in advance, you will not be entitled to a refund.

Expert advice to make your journey go smoothly

Always ask for directions to the nearest gasoline station to the rental drop-off location. Keep your fuel sales slip as proof of refueling.
